Milano Bath Remodel

This is where the biophilic power of nature meets elegant luxury. A 20 yr old townhome in need of a spacial refresh, longed for both a functional update, as well as an aesthetic elevation. Our goal was to use the power of nature, blended with the science of health and well-being, to develop a washroom of tranquility, calm, and rejuvenation.

Combining natural handmade clay tiles with porcelain crafted to mimic wood cladding, provided the shower with a much needed rebirth. Adding to the overall footprint of the base made the shower an calming oasis for a mundane functional activity. A surprising feature was in the use of a Jolie filtered shower head - added to the design to improve skin and hair health by filtering out contaminants like chlorine, heavy metals, and other chemicals from the shower water.

The flooring used throughout the room was curated based on it's similarity to natural cork, adding warmth and a surprising dimension. The flecks of black in each tile aligned perfectly with the black vanity and champagne gold accents/fixtures, enhancing the silent luxury experience.

Optimal lighting was achieved by using a combination of natural light, shutters, dimmable mirrors, ambient accent feature, and overhead task lighting.

The space was completed with organic/non-toxic Casa Luna towels, seagrass baskets, dried grass, and live yucca plant - Bringing together the natural influences and healthy elements to achieve greater well-being.
